UFC president Dana White is now saying that Rio de Janeiro could host UFC 147 should Sao Paulo’s logistical nightmare not get figured out. Haven’t hear about the problems? Pacaembu Stadium in Sao Paulo is facing issues with a nonprofit organization which has successfully lobbied to enforce a noise ordinance past midnight. This timing would throw off the perfect 10pm EST start time which makes it more accessible to international viewing.. Both places would be a good choice, but the fight schedule for June 16th is not too far off.  Although not confirmed, 147 is set to feature a middleweight title rematch between reigning champ Anderson Silva and challenger Chael Sonnen. To top it off, “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” finalists will duke it out to decide a winner.

Although Nick Diaz had trouble with Carlos Condit in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 143, he still took home the most money (even more than what Carlos took home with the winning bonus). Just how much is Diaz taking home per fight now? $200k to be exact, win or lose (according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission). He also earned the same amount in his previous fight against B.J Penn in UFC 137. Diaz was also able to keep himsef off the injury list from this past fight. The UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit, which went down Saturday night at Mandalay Bay is a wrap. Condit captured the interim UFC welterweight championship with a five-round unanimous decision victory over Nick Diaz in the main event. Here are the injuries and medical suspensions current as of today.

In the Main event of UFC 143 Nick Diaz has the Chance to Make his statement in the UFC.    He will embark on a long  journey that comes full circle back to the UFC, and a chance to become the UFC champion.

Nick is a polarizing figure that brings out emotions, good and bad, and he flat out buts buts in the seats.  He is a master of trash talking and getting inside an opponents head.  This will be a great fight and I can wait to see what happens.

UFC 146 to be held in Atlanta Georgia on April 21, 2012, this should be a great event the last time the UFC was in Georgia Chuck Liddell was Knocked out by Rashad Evans.

Rousimar Palhares  over Mike Massenzio by decision, Long boring ground fight.

Erick Siva over Carlo Prater by decision, back and forth battle should be entertaining but left in the judges hands

Terry Etim over Edson Barboza, TKO Round 2, exciting first round ended in the second.

Should be a great card back in RIO last time it had a Superbowl, Worldcup atmosphere.
