It’s now news that UFC 147 was somewhat of a ratings bomb in the US. In fact, it’s apparently the worst-performing UFC pay-per-view of the past 5+ years. That’s not to discount international popularity however. MMA Junkie reported that attendance was the best-yet for a UFC in Brazil at 16,643 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
That’s nothing compared to the television viewership of the event in Brazil which is recorded at over 20 Million. This is no record for Brazil who has had viewership top 30+ million for previous events, but nonetheless, the sport has legs abroad. Thanks to BloodyElbow for the tip
